What’s interesting to know about me when it comes to training with dogs?
I love training processes! I’m truly passionate about breaking down challenges into small, manageable pieces and systematically putting them back together. My mind finds great joy in working with people and dogs, watching a team develop and grow. In short, I’m probably quite a nerd when it comes to training techniques.
Besides my two beloved dogs, Baley and Finnlay, I also have two wonderful children, my husband (without whom I truly couldn’t manage to realize many of my thousand ideas, further trainings, and projects – THANK YOU!), my dog training school, which now allows training to take place indoors at any time and also theory sessions in a comfortable atmosphere, and of course my amazing friends, family, household, etc. My life is very colorful and diverse, and I like that. It feels balanced to me, and I believe I can use this calmness and enthusiasm as a strength in my training with my teams.
Professionally, as mentioned above, I have a deep interest in this field. I have been involved intensively with animal and dog training since 2008, and scent work is the area that fascinates me the most. Why? Because it’s a world that often remains hidden from us and is partly still not fully explainable by science. The abilities of our dogs never cease to amaze me. Sometimes, when I watch teams, I feel like a child seeing a miracle with wide eyes, and I get goosebumps spontaneously… This feeling, these experiences of witnessing the incredible, continue to inspire me even after so many years.
It’s probably easy to understand why I find it so natural to dedicate all the energy I want to invest professionally to a topic where there is still so much to discover and experience. Where it’s a huge joy to stay at the forefront and where creative training approaches can be wonderfully applied.
I warmly invite you to join me on this journey. After many years of experience, I dare say that scent work will enhance the quality of life for both you and your dog.
I’m a big fan of individualized solutions. There isn’t ONE single way – there is only your way, together with your dog, and your dog will love taking that path.
And if you prefer hard facts… feel free to contact me. I’ll gladly send you my qualifications neatly organized – it’s a very long Excel file :-).
Jacqueline
